An event dedicated to September 27, Remembrance Day, was held at the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education.
A minute of silence began with a commemoration of the sons of the Fatherland who gave their lives for the liberation of our historical lands.
The event was opened by Kenul Bakhshaliyeva, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor, Head of the Microbiological Biotechnology Laboratory, who noted that September 27 is one of the most significant and sacred days in the history of our country. Today is celebrated as "Remembrance Day" as a sign of deep respect for the soldiers and officers who heroically fought in the Patriotic War, raised the Azerbaijani flag on lands liberated from occupation, gave their lives for the territorial integrity of the country, and all martyrs. Our brave sons wrote such a history of victory that they demonstrated to the entire world the strength and might of the Turkic people.
Then, researcher Agil Ahmedli spoke, noting that September 27 was a glorious day marking the laying of the foundation of a great Victory, a celebration of our military and political might, national spirit, and national solidarity. He emphasized that, while honoring the sacred memory of our martyrs, each of us bears responsibility for the Victory achieved at the cost of their lives.
