On November 8 — Victory Day — the Institute of Microbiology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an event.

First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and then a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of our country.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Panah Muradov, congratulated the institute’s staff on the 5‑year anniversary of Victory Day.

He spoke about the significance of the great Victory achieved in the Patriotic War, calling this day one of the most glorious in the history of Azerbaijan’s independence. Under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity — a victory that has entered world military history.

Muradov emphasized that Azerbaijan is the only country that has restored its territorial integrity by its own military strength. During the Patriotic War, special operations were carried out that had never been seen before in world military history; these tactics and strategies are now being carefully analyzed by international military experts.

He said: “The duty of every citizen of Azerbaijan is to defend the lands reclaimed by the blood of the brave sons of the Motherland, and never to forget these moments.” Participants expressed their deep respect and love for our martyrs, veterans, and the army.

After the event, the Institute’s staff visited the graves of our martyrs.
