The next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was held.
The event was attended by the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, members of the Presidium, heads of departments of the Presidium’s apparatus, directors of scientific institutions and organizations, and other relevant persons.
The meeting was opened by academician Isa Habibbayli, who informed the participants about the agenda of the event.
First, the Corresponding Member of ANAS, Panah Muradov, and the Corresponding Member of ANAS, Saleh Maharramov, were awarded the Honorary Diplomas of ANAS.
The first issue discussed at the meeting was the progress of preparations for the 80th anniversary of ANAS and the upcoming tasks.
Academician Isa Habibbayli noted that, in order to ensure the implementation of the Presidential Decree “On celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences,” a final jubilee event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of ANAS will be held on November 4, 2025.
He stated that 42 representatives from the Academies of 21 countries will participate in the final jubilee event, and during those days, the Academy Museum will be inaugurated with their participation. He also mentioned that a tree-planting campaign will be organized in the ANAS Rare Trees Park, as well as an excursion to the “Yanardagh” Reserve.
It was further noted that on November 5, a meeting with the participation of the Academies of Sciences of the Turkic world will be held, where proposals and recommendations related to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress will be prepared....
